Track record: More than 25 years of professional practice as Civil Engineer and Specialist in Structures and Bridges working in both national and international entities. He has developed multiple feasibility studies, comprehensive technical studies, technical, economic, social, environmental and final design studies for road and bridge projects.
Researcher and author of several scientific articles published in national and international magazines, referred to the design of reinforced concrete beams for bridges, application of numerical models to the study of the behavior of shear walls, reinforcement of concrete with fibers.
Francisco Aguirre, Ph. D.

She has academic production in international indexed scientific journals and participation as speaker in international congresses. Career: Began his career participating in the construction of several roads of the Fundamental Road Network, as part of the former National Road Service. Responsible for Quality Control teams of important road sections in the Oruro - Pisiga and Santa Cruz - Puerto Suárez road corridors. Participated with IBCH in several working groups of the former National Road Service, to improve construction practices, work controls, and technical specifications for the construction of rigid pavements in Bolivia. He was part of the technical team of PCA Ingenieros Consultores S.A., as a specialist in concrete pavement design and advisor of Technical Supervisions, achieving the approval of the use of "semi-short slabs" design by ABC.
Founding partner of Mecanicista Ltda., a company specialized in pavement engineering, for which he has worked as a specialist in design, structural evaluation, and functional evaluation of pavements, with more than 18 years of experience in construction projects, auscultation and rehabilitation of roads of the Fundamental Road Network and airports in the country. Currently, he is part of the research project led by IBCH for the development of an Empirical-Mechanistic Design Method for concrete pavements in Bolivia, which aims to implement a new pavement design software (DIPAV-ME) to improve the calculation of semi-short slabs under various climatic conditions. Invited professor to the Master's Degree in Road and Bridge Engineering (MICP) of the Universidad Privada Boliviana in its 2014, 2017 and 2019 versions, teaching the subject "Control, Evaluation and Technology of Concrete and Asphalt" in the cities of La Paz and Cochabamba.
